Watch Video: Cossmacadam Paving Contractor Website

It was a busy week last week as I built a new website for Danny Coss the owner of Cossmacadam. This local paving contractor business based in Meath had no online presence. This means that Cossmacadam had no means of reaching customers through the Covid19 crisis.

Why this local paving contractor business needed a website…

The future of business is online and the recent Covid19 epidemic has proven that. Businesses that have no online presence have closed completely. Businesses with an online presence have continued trading.

Offline businesses are losing customers and online businesses are gaining customers! This is affecting businesses across Meath and may cause some businesses to liquidate. Local people in Meath have no option other than shop online but very few local businesses are online. This means that local trade is suffering in Meath and will continue to suffer until they are online.

How this paving contractor website design will reach new customers…

This website aims to attract local people in Meath looking for new driveways. As a small business based in Meath I know the importance of local support. I always get excited when I am working on a new website for a local business like Cossmacadam. Here are some steps I took to optimise Danny’s website for locals looking for his services.

1) I wrote content to appeal to Danny’s ideal customer:

After speaking with Danny we defined his ideal customer. This information allowed me to design his new website for that visitor’s needs. I wrote the content to speak to that ideal customer to help Cossmacadam show up in search results in Google.

2) I included a Call to Action for visitors.

Danny likes to talk to people interested in his tarmac services. A lot of his current business is through referral and local recommendations. Before having a website if Danny missed a call he lost a customer. Now the Cossmacadam website includes a contact form that will capture enquiries 24/7. Now people can contact him any time that suits them and Danny will call them back. Danny is offering a free call back and 20% off his services to thank people for interacting. This will encourage visitors to read his content and reach out to him.

3) I made Cossmacadam’s contact information available to visitors

Most of Danny’s customers will be visiting his website on their phone. I performed SEO to make sure that people could find the phone, email and location of Cossmacadam fast. I also made the phone and email clickable so that mobile visitors can click to phone Danny.

4) I made the website responsive across desktop, tablet and mobile

This new website will look great on any device. I worked on sizing all the content to adapt to different devices. I also optimised the content to load super fast on desktops and mobiles. This website loads in less than 3 seconds and in 1 second for people with fast broadband. This is important for usability and Google ranking.

5) I built the Cossmacadam website to perform well in local SEO.

Local search engine optimisation (SEO) is vital for businesses in Meath now. If somebody in Meath is looking for a tarmac contractor then Cossmacadam will show. This is because devices track location to show visitors the most relevant results. Before Dany got a website he had no presence in search results. I recently built his website so it can take a few weeks (or months) to rank but the process has started. In time, Cossmacadam will show up in Google Maps, Search results and Facebook search.

6) I integrated this new website with Facebook to drive traffic

Danny had no online presence at all so I got him to set up a Facebook page for his business. Facebook can be a great tool for driving followers to your website. Then the website converts them into leads via the landing page design. Danny’s website is a Landing Page website, designed to capture enquiries 24/7. I added the Facebook Page Feed and Facebook Reviews to the website. Now when Danny updates the Cossmacadam Facebook page his new website updates too.
