The Green Star Alliance

Design Construction Mockup The Green Star Alliance

A Clean, Informative Website for Ireland's One-Stop Energy Efficiency Alliance

The Green Star Alliance is a group of trusted Irish businesses helping companies across Ireland become more energy efficient. Eric Lawlor founded the alliance to give businesses a single point of contact for everything from solar and EV chargers to insulation, lighting audits, and SEAI grant applications. The website needed to showcase every member clearly and make it easy for businesses to get in touch.

Goal:
To build a clean, informative website that showcased all members of the Green Star Alliance and their services. The site needed to help businesses across Ireland understand how the alliance could help them become more energy efficient and access government grants — all from one place.

Approach:
We worked within Eric's brand guidelines to create a clean design with colours that reflect energy and the environment. Each member business got their own dedicated profile page. New members can be added to the site quickly and easily on request. The site is fully optimised for Google and easy to update.

Result:
A fast, professional website that showcases all Green Star Alliance members and their services. Businesses can learn about energy efficiency, explore member services, and get in touch directly. The site also gives smaller member businesses valuable online visibility they would not otherwise have.

The Client

The Green Star Alliance was founded by Eric Lawlor as a one-stop shop for businesses looking to improve their energy efficiency. The alliance brings together specialists across solar PV, EV charging, lighting audits, insulation, glass coatings, energy consultancy, and more. Members include EL Energy Consultants, Carchargers Ireland, Complete Energy Ireland, Decarb, Lighting Audits, BM Glass Coatings, Keylon Engineering, Energy Smart, Cando, Precise Energy, and VDA Telkonet. The alliance also helps businesses access SEAI grants and EEOS funding.

The Challenge

Eric needed a website that could represent a growing collective of businesses clearly and professionally. Many members had no website of their own — the alliance site was their primary online presence. The site needed to be easy to update as new members joined and had to communicate a complex range of services in simple, accessible terms.

Our Approach

1. Brand-Led Design We worked within Eric’s brand guidelines throughout. The colour palette reflects energy, sustainability, and confidence — immediately communicating what the alliance stands for.

2. Individual Member Pages Every member of the alliance has their own dedicated page. This gives each business online visibility and helps visitors find the specific service they need.

3. Easy Member Management New members contact us directly to be added to the site. The process is quick and consistent, keeping the directory up to date as the alliance grows.

4. Grant and Funding Information The site clearly explains how businesses can access SEAI grants and EEOS funding through the alliance — a key selling point that helps convert visitors into enquiries.

5. Full Google Optimisation The site is fully optimised for search so businesses looking for energy efficiency support in Ireland can find the Green Star Alliance through Google.

The Design Solution

The finished website is clean, professional, and easy to navigate. The member directory is clear and well-organised. Each member profile gives visitors enough information to understand the service and make contact. The site works well on mobile and loads fast. It gives the alliance a credible, unified online presence.

The Outcome

The Green Star Alliance now has a website that works as a hub for the entire collective. Businesses across Ireland can find the alliance through search, explore the member services, and reach out for help with energy efficiency upgrades and grant applications. Smaller member businesses benefit from the shared online visibility — and the site continues to grow as new members join.
